The SCC Animation program prepares students to enter into a wide variety of animation-related careers. Students use state-of-the-art technology in a computer lab and studio. They learn acting for animation, stop motion, storytelling, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, production, modeling, texturing, rendering, lighting, rigging, motion graphics, visual effects, and character animation.
The program also emphasizes demo reels, portfolios, resumes, and cover letters. Software training includes Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Toonboom, and Substance.

Tyler Horn is a CG artist, animator and educator with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts and Animation from the
The Illinois Institute of Art- Schaumburg.
He has had opportunity to work on a variety of animation and
design projects which include: Lego, City of Tulsa Storm-water Division PSAs, The Iowa Lottery, Union Pacific as well as architectural visualization for both commercial and residential clients.
